Chapter Twenty-two

The last sentence of this chapter reads, "But it was part of the hard bargain I'd made with Granddaddy, who only regarded me from his end of the table and nodded in approval."

What does this tell us?  Is the last full paragraph on page 271 a clue?

  1. I think this tells us that Grandaddy and Calpurnia had made a deal and that Calpurnia had just fulfilled her end of the deal.

  2. I think it tells us that there was another part of the deal and Calpurnia has just held up her end of it.

  3. I think that this tells us that Callie and grandfather had a deal and that her end of the deal was to ask about her herding the turkey.

  4. I agree with Sebastion and Angus on this question. I think that it was telling us that CAlle and her grandfather had made a deal and Callie had held up her end of it.

  5. I agree with Sebastian because Calpurnia held up her end of the deal.

    1. I also think that there was another part of the deal like Sebastian said.
