Chapter Eleven

Why, on page 155, did Mother allow Calpurnia to stop knitting.  Hint: it was in something she didn't say.

  1. I think that Mother let Callie stop sewing early because she thought that Callie was sickly even though she was just working very hard to finish the knitting.

  2. I think that mother let Calpurnia stop knitting because she wanted her to continue in her scientific studies so, that she could learn more about wild life.

  3. I disagree with both of you,what really happened was that Calpurnia complained about her eyes being strained in which Calpurnia's mother didn't want her to have glasses.

  4. I agree with Angus because Calpurnia said that she had strained her eyes and Mother looked like she had not wanted that to happen because she didn't want Calpurnia to have glasses.
