  1. Calpurnia noticed that the green grasshoppers had evolved because of the drought so they turned yellow because the grass was yellow so they have camoflauge against predators.

  2. Calpurnia realized that there were two different types of grasshoppers, big yellow ones and small green ones. She later discovers that the reason why the big yellow grasshoppers were different, was because they had adapted to the environment and they were yellow and big because the could camouflage themselves in the dead yellow grass and they were big because they had survived longer than the greens grasshoppers and eaten more food.

  3. Calpurnia realized there were two types of grasshoppers; small green ones and large yellow ones. The yellow ones were camoflauged well in the dries out yellow grass and the green ones were camuflauged well in the green grass

  4. Calpernia saw that there was two different kinds of grasshoppers, and she later saw that the bigger grasshopper used to be the smaller grasshopper but it learned how to get used to the new environment, because of the drought.

  5. Adding to my comment above I was saying that Calpernia thought the the two different kinds of grasshoppers were ancestors. The bigger ones have just adapted to the environment. The others ones have not.

  6. Calpurnia noticed the theory of natural selection. This theory says that animals who can adapt in ways such as camouflage and extra appendages are capable to survive. Calpurnia made this discovery by noticing that the yellow grasshoppers lived longer because they were camouflaged by the dead grass, therefore increasing there numbers and letting them get larger and more populated. She also noticed that on the other hand, the green grasshoppers were easier to see, therefore vividly decreasing their numbers and making them get eaten at a small age, leaving them smaller.
