Why did Harry give Calpurnia the advice he did on page 137?

  1. I think that he gave her that advice because if she gets involved, she could get on bad ground with Lula, Travis, Lamar, and Sam Houston. By this I mean that if Calpurnia gets involved, one thing leads to another, and before she knows it she is in the center of everyones problems.

  2. I think that Harry gave Calpurnia the advise he did because if she got involved she could of wrecked the relationship with her brothers and her best friend. Harry would not want to see that happen because him and Cally have a very good relationship and it would be terror to the eye to him to see Cally sad because of getting involved.

  3. I think that Harry had that conversation with Calpurnia because he knew that if she got involved while the Lamar, Travis and Sam Houston were fighting about Lula and told her, she could lose her relationship with her brothers and her best friend.

  4. I think that Harry gave Calpurnia advice because if she got into a place where Lula, Travis, Lamar, and Sam Houston didn't like her then she would be in a lot of trouble and in a lot of problems.

  5. I think that Harry gave her this advice because the 3 oldest boys were nagging her about Lula and if she likes them so she despretely needed help.

  6. I think you're all right about this. Calpurnia was in kind of a no-win situation, or as some say, between a rock and a hard place.
