Chapter Twelve

Please reread the very first paragraph of this chapter on page 172.  Thinking about the entirety of that paragraph, what do you think Calpurnia was saying?  What was her point?

  1. I think that Calpurnia's point is that the door that is closed to her is opened to her when Alberto's name is mentioned, and he gets payed a lot because everyone pays him the enormous differance so, I think that he is rich.

  2. I agree with Colden because of the fact that the door is open when Alberto's name is mentioned.

  4. I also agree. Before, Calpurnia felt contained or trapped, but when Albertos name was mentioned, she thought that he was the volden key to freedom.
