I am not sure what you mean I feel like Callie was acting the exact opposite of being dismayed.
ReplyDeleteI believe that grandfather was trying to tell Callie that men aren't the only scientists and that women have made some very important scientific discoveries. I also agree with Angus that she seemed to be the opposite of dismayed.
