Chapter Twenty-one
By the end of this chapter, Callie is especially dismayed. Why is that? What was Granddaddy trying to tell her at the end of this chapter? Please be thorough and thoughtful with your responses.
I believe that grandfather was trying to tell Callie that men aren't the only scientists and that women have made some very important scientific discoveries. I also agree with Angus that she seemed to be the opposite of dismayed.
I am not sure what you mean I feel like Callie was acting the exact opposite of being dismayed.
